How do I use membership numbers?

Do I have to use membership numbers on SportMember?

- Membership numbers are optional, whether you want to use

- In SportMember, name and email are primary, membership number secondary

- If you use membership numbers, you can always pull membership lists/payment lists in Excel format containing membership numbers

There's no answer to this question related to the use of SportMember from the app.

Add/change a member's membership number

Go to Members and Edit

  1. Click on in the top left corner
  2. Click on MEMBERS
  3. Click on   at the far right of the member's name in the Actions column
  4. Find the Member number field and enter a number

The member will now be visible in the member list with the updated member number.

Other settings for member numbers

Go to Club settings

  1. Click on   at the bottom left
  2. Go to Club settings
  3. Click on Member Management
  4. Find the Membership Number subheading where you can decide whether:

  • Only administrators can change member numbers (Yes/No)
  • Ongoing member-numbers for new club members (Yes/No)

If you select Ongoing member-numbers, you can decide whether the number should be preceded by initials and which number should be the first.

New members will then automatically be assigned a new membership number when they are created in the club on SportMember. You can always change membership numbers again.

Example: here you choose that the member number should start with the letters "ME" followed by a number. The first member created after this will automatically be assigned the member number FC55, the next member FC56 and so on.
